SOMEONE ELSE'S BLOG

i know, i know, we don't write anything anymore. and to make things worse, i am here now only to link to our fellow bostonian-sydneysider's blog (though the latter soon to be no more) as she summed up aptly a recent conversation we had over dinner about this fair city we currently call home. hope she doesn't mind...

POST TO POST

although life has been fairly uneventful these past weeks, i feel the need to write something as it is a little depressing to see the same post at the top of a blog for weeks at a time. life has been fairly ordinary with work, chores and such. though this being sydney, and it being summer, there is fun to be had and we've had it.

this week we went to another outdoor movie - this time at the st. george openair cinema in the botanic gardens. but rather than ultra-comfy bean bag beds, we had to sit in proper seats. to make up for the fact that we weren't able to watch the movie in the horizontal position, they kindly provided extraordinary views towards the harbour (complete with opera house, bridge, and fireworks in the distance for some unknown occasion). although it did rain quite a bit, we were safe as houses in the head to toe ponchos they so generously provided.

other than movies - and we've seen heaps since it's been pissing rain in sydney all week - we've been hanging with more northern hemisphereans and house sitting for aussie friends. the latter has been great fun as we get to live in a cozy little house with a quiet little garden, with most of our time spent on the back porch drinking coffee and reading the paper while listening to the sound of the raindrops.
